Two Dead, 220 Buildings Destroyed After Downpour In Mokwa
Two people have been confirmed dead, three injured and over 220 buildings destroyed during a heavy wind and rainfall in Mokwa local government area of Niger state.(Wapbaze_Copyright)Properties worth N135.5 million were destroyed with over 780 people affected.(Wapbaze_Copyright)
Among the buildings affected include a police station, the State Security Service(SSS) office, and Government Girl Secondary School where classes collapsed.(Wapbaze_Copyright)

Making a presentation during plenary in the Niger House of Assembly, the member representing Mokwa Constituency, Honorable Abdullahi Shaba Gbara, said that a committee had been set up to find out the number of people affected and how they were affected.(Wapbaze_Copyright)
He called on the Niger state Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA) to come to the aid of the victims by providing them with relief materials.
