Nollywood actor cum politician, Desmond Elliot, has reacted to the news of him supporting an anti-social media bill.

The reaction came shortly after he trended on social media for allegedly supporting an anti-social media bill in the Lagos State House of Assembly. But Desmond Elliot has now denied the news, saying it is not true and that Lagos State House of Assembly has no bill to that effect.

Desmond Elliot noted that the only thing he said about social media was that celebrities, motivational speakers and all forms of social media influencers desist from “hate narrative” over the Lekki Tollgate incident of October 20.

He also called on social media influencer, @DrOlufunmilayo who ''spearheaded'' the rumour to verify before posting next time.
