Samsung Galaxy S5 Prototype Benchmarked

Samsung's upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S5, has allegedly leaked through the popular Android benchimprint AnTuTu. The system information indicates the presence of a 16 MegaPixel (MP) primary shooter and a Snapdragon 800 chipset with a 2.5Giga Hertz (GHz) Krait CPU.

What is missing, however, are most of the sensors that are expected to be present in the upcoming flagship. Also, a lot of the cool rumored features we've been hearing about are also absent. This indicates that this is likely an engineering device given to carriers prior to release for testing purposes.

Such devices usually come with unfinalized hardware both internally and externally, and as such shouldn't be used to evaluate the actual expected performance of the Galaxy S5 upon release.

Speaking of release, Samsung has announced its next Unpacked event will hold place MWC 2014 later this month. Ominously titled "Unpacked 5", there's a fine chance we'll see something flagship-esque acquire announced there.
