Apple IPhone 6 Pricing Info From China Promises A Price Drop

A report from China about the Apple iPhone 6 confirms the September 19 launch date (initially unveiled by German carrier Deutsche Telekom) and offers price for the 4.7" version of the upcoming iPhone.

The 32GB version is slated to cost CNY 5,300 ($850 / €625), while the 64GB version will be CNY 6,300 ($1010 / €740). That's actually a drop in price as a 16GB iPhone 5s currently costs CNY 5,300 in China, while the 64GB model is CNY 6,900, so if the rumors pan out we can expect international prices to drop.

It's not clear if there will be a 16GB version at all. The price of the bigger 5.5" iPhone 6 also remains unclear. If you missed it, check out the extensive video that compares the 4.7" and 5.5" iPhone 6 options (in dummy form).

Apple's manufacturing partners are reportedly bolstering their power before the launch. Foxconn is recruiting 10 thousand recent employees while Pegatron is upping its staff by 30%. The two companies will split the manufacturing 70 / 30.
