HP And Google Discussed Making An Enterprise Nexus Device

According to report in The Information, Hewlett Packard (HP) and Google discussed making an enterprise-centric Nexus device. The two tech giants also talked over the past year about utilizing Google Now as a corporate tool.

Google and Hewlett Packard (HP) primarily discussed potentially making Google Now useful in a corporate environment. The search giant's creation would allow employees to easily lookup and access company information such as financial or inventory data.

Regarding the enterprise-centric Nexus device, Hewlett Packard (HP) envisioned a product with high-discontinue hardware encryption. Google however, was allegedly not as enthusiastic as the hardware company on the subject.

A potential collaboration between the two companies would rival the recently announced strategic partnership between Apple and IBM. Talks between Hewlett Packard (HP) and Google however, have reportedly fallen through.
