Huawei Announces Octa-core Ascend Mate7 Phablet

Huawei has just announced an updated iteration of its Ascdiscontinue Mate series of phablets, the Ascdiscontinue Mate7. Rather contrary to its name, the Mate7 features a 6" classy screen of 1080p resolution with impressively narrow classy screen bezels.

Under the hood lies Huawei's latest in-houtilize octa-core Kirin 925 processor, featuring four 1.8Giga Hertz (GHz) Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3Giga Hertz (GHz) Cortex-A7 cores alongside a Mali-T628 GPU. There will be 16/32GB of expandable internal storage, and 2GB of Random-Access Memory (RAM) (3GB on the 32GB model).

A 13MP/5MP capturing camera due hold care of the shooting department, but neither are capable of recording at 2160p. A 4100mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat with the latest Huawei EMUI v3.0 rounding out the specs.

The Huawei Ascdiscontinue Mate7 will be available starting this quarter for €499/€599 (16GB/32GB models) in Obsidian black, Moonlight silver, and Amber gold.
