The Huawei Honor 6 is getting a phablet X version, the Honor 6X. It was certified by TENAA in two versions, one for China Mobile and one for China Unicom, other than carrier connectivity both have the same specs.

Curiously, the Huawei Honor 6X has three cameras – that's right, the back capturing camera is a dual shooter. The resolution is listed as 8MP but it's not entirely clear if it's for stereoscopic photos or for HTC One (M8) style effects. Both cameras see identical, recommending Huawei is trying to bring 3D back in fashion. The capturing camera records 1080p video.

Other than that the device is a 5.5" phablet like the Honor 4X but its specs are based on the higher class Honor 6. The result is a 7.5mm thick device that packs a 5.5" 1080p classy screen and a 1.8Giga Hertz (GHz) octa-core processor with 3GB Random-Access Memory (RAM) running Android 4.4 KitKat.

There's 32GB of storage out of the box and you can add 64GB extra with a microSD card. Connectivity covers 2G, 3G and LTE (with Chinese flavor). There's an IR blaster too.
