A recent Xiaomi smartphone has passed through the TENAA with a couple of images and a peek at the specs. The device looks much like the Redmi 1S and could prove to be its successor - the Redmi 2.
It's going to arrive with a 4.7" 720p display and a 64-bit chipset (likely the Snapdragon 410) with a quad-core 1.2Giga Hertz (GHz) processor and 1GB of RAM. Other confirmed specs include 8GB of expandable storage, 8MP back camera, 2MP front one, a 2,220mAh battery and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
The listing also revealed that the rumored Redmi 2 has three red-colored capacitive keys under the classy screen as customary to Xiaomi phones. The power button and volume rocker are on the correct side, there's an Light Emitting Diode (LED) flash underneath the 8MP capturing camera lens and a speaker grille to the left of it.
Rumor has it the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone will pack LTE (TD LTE and LTE FDD) alongside WCDMA. The expected weight of the device is tipped at 134g.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 is expected to arrive in black, white, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple and have a price around RMB599-699 (around $100).
