Xiaomi could already be working on a successor to its MiPad 7.9 which was unveiled earlier this year. The recent tablet has allegedly been made the star of a quick photo session somewhere in China. At this stage there's no way to create sure that these images are really depicting the next MiPad and not some knockoff, so haged that in mind.

Alleged Xiaomi MiPad 2

The gigantic news seems to be that Xiaomi will choose an Intel chipset for its next tablet, with a 1.8 Giga Hertz (GHz) CPU, in contrast with the MiPad 7.9 which uses an Nvidia Tegra SoC.

The MiPad 2 should have the same classy screen size as its predecessor, and 2,048x1,536 resolution. 2GB of Random-Access Memory (RAM) can be found inside the tablet, along with 16GB of built-in storage. It runs MIUI based on Android 4.4 KitKat.

For now it's not clear when the next MiPad will become available, but if this is the real deal then expect to see a lot more leaks about it soon.
